It features a lubricant-free movement that offered buyers a staggering 70-year warranty (66 remaining) and 50-year service window.

The movement is the hand-wound calibre P.3001/C, which features a three-day power reserve. It features dry-lubricated mainspring barrels, a silicon escapement, self-lubricating plates and bridges, double barrels and a power reserve indicator visible through the open caseback. The P.3001/C uses a series of innovative measures to capitalise on the special properties of carbon and tailor them to the functions of individual parts—plates, bridges, barrels, escapement and anti-shock device. This removes the need to ever apply liquid lubrication to the main bridges and plate, which are composed of a low-friction composite which integrates a tantalum-based ceramic. This new generation of composite is notable for its high percentage of carbon, which minimises pivot friction, making jewels and their related lubrication unnecessary.

In excellent condition, this 2022 model is complete with box & papers. The watch shows few signs of wear, just to the strap, and had a component exchange at Panerai Neuchâtel in December 2025. A video condition review is available upon request and is recommended to view prior to purchasing.

https://www.wisemanswatches.com/products/panerai-luminor-1950-lab-id-1-of-70-limited-edition-pam01700-box-papers
