For sale is an excellent example of the Panerai Mare Nostrum Pre-Vendôme, reference 5218-301a.
Introduced in 1993, the Mare Nostrum was the first commercial chronograph produced by Panerai, with quite a variation in design from the other releases. The 42mm case encloses a blue chronograph dial with tritium markers, with a nice symmetrical design.
This particular watch is believed to have one single "owner" from new. They bought the watch in 1995 (it was made in 1993) from a dealer in Milan, and was then sold to a dealer in Italy, which then found its way to here.
The watch is in lovely condition with no significant scratches and just a few tiny little nicks on the edge of the bezel. It performs well in technical tests and comes with a 12 month warranty.
The set is complete with box & papers and the original OEM blue sharkskin strap and buckle. A video condition review is available upon request.
