For Sale is an exceptional Collector's Set example of the Rolex Submariner COMEX, reference 16800.

This COMEX Submariner is being sold on behalf of the original owner, John Nuttall, a key member of the Senior Management Team of COMEX throughout the 80s, managing numerous major underwater projects, involving air and saturation diving. It comes complete with full box & papers and the original bill of sale from COMEX Houlder Diving Ltd in 1986, listing two other employees who also purchased them at the time for £270 each. This is a very rare phenomenon, as most COMEX Subs were gifted to the Saturation Divers and did not include sale receipts and such a plethora of accessories. As this was purchased from COMEX, it could be a reason that the caseback only has the inscription "6159". The full list of accessories are listed below, including the internal service receipt from Rolex in 2002. Full provenance, one owner and in remarkable, unpolished condition, this COMEX Submariner and all its contents have been wonderfully preserved.

Regarding the watch, the 40mm stainless steel case houses the COMEX four-liner dial with white gold markers and "SWISS-T<25" at the 6pm. Having spent most of its life in a safe, the green luminescence from the Tritium markers still have some life left! The sapphire crystal and the fliplock clasp were replaced during the service in 2002 and remain time-specific to 1984, with the 93150 oyster bracelet fitted with its 593 endlinks.

It's in very good condition throughout commensurate with its age. It has been professionally prepared for sale, having been water pressure checked and movement accuracy regulated and approved. A video condition review is available upon request and is recommended to view prior to purchasing.
