For sale is a remarkable time-capsule example of the Rolex Yacht-Master II 44mm in solid 18ct yellow gold, reference 116688.
Dating from 2007—the iconic model’s official launch year—this piece features a massive 44mm solid 18ct yellow gold case, striking blue Cerachrom ceramic Ring Command bezel, and crisp white dial. It is powered by the in-house calibre 4161 (originally calibre 4160), a highly complex automatic chronograph movement featuring a programmable mechanical memory regatta countdown with flyback functionality, offering a 72-hour power reserve.
Complete with box and paperwork, this 2007 debut-year example is unworn with light handling surface marks to the bracelet. Remarkably, it remains fully stickered.
